The story portrays the main character, MAMI JARUM who is arrogant and imagine herself as a perfect person.Her character who put wealth, status apaart everything else and who enjoys finding fault in others and speaks highly of herself represent her nature Mami Jarum who is divorced, lives with her two daughters. Her eldest daughter, Shiqah, works as a corporate secretary in a big corporation. Whereas her younger daughter, Syafinaz is a student with IPTA.

Mami has a younger sister, Bee, a housewife married to Piee, an eldery man. Mami neighbour, Mamu Rosli is a bachelor who lives alone. He is not married because his love was hindered by his lover parents who is concerned with status. Conflict begins when Mami Jarum visits Bee home and frequently ridicule her sister. She despises Piee who is lazy and she frequently persuade her sister to encourage Piee to do something that will change their future. Mami Jarum always take her family as a comparison as she believes that her family is a successful one.

However, Mami did not realize that her family has problems. Shiqah is involved in a complicated relationship with her boss who is married and Piee knows about Shiqah intimate relationship with her boss. Syafinaz, the younger daughter, however is more mature and frequently reprimand her mother's exaggerated character. Syafinaz relationship with a postman is objected by Mami Jarum. In the end, an incident happened which change Mami Jarum and make her realize her mistake.

Mami Jarum, felt like it is time to refrain from this wrong doing and this situation really disappoints Rita who later befriended Chombee. Rita made up horrible stories about Chombee and tells Chombee that it all came from Mami Jarum. Rita helps Chombee to find a bride for Chombee’s son, Zaid and at the same time, a man for herself too. Rita doesn’t like being called a ‘spinsters’ and she starts making drastic changes towards her appearance in order to be more attractive. Meanwhile, Dato’ Meera is having problems with his two wives. Ezad, who is having a crisis with his girlfriend, Shafinaz, is being appointed to the post of Managing Director of his company. Jasmine is the new secretary in the office, replacing Shiqah.
